Togarmah was a son of Gomer and grandson of Japheth, mentioned in the Table of Nations.
Togarmah was a son of Gomer and grandson of Japheth, listed in the Table of Nations as an ancestor of various peoples (Genesis 10:3; 1 Chronicles 1:6). In Ezekiel's oracle against Gog, 'Beth-togarmah of the far north' is described as supplying horses and horsemen to the trading networks of the ancient Near East (Ezekiel 27:14; 38:6). Scholars generally identify Togarmah with a people in eastern Anatolia, possibly the Tegarama mentioned in Assyrian and Hittite records, associated with the Armenian highlands.
