Uriel

Uriel was a Kohathite Levite, chief of the Kohathites, who was summoned by David to help transport the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem after the earlier failed attempt that resulted in Uzzah's death (1 Chronicles 15:5, 11). He is also identified as the grandfather of King Abijah of Judah through his daughter Micaiah (also called Maacah), who became the mother of Abijah (2 Chronicles 13:2). Uriel thus figures in both the cultic and the royal history of the Davidic period.
