Revelation 3:12
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

'Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out' — the promise to Philadelphia addresses a community known for its instability (Philadelphia suffered frequent earthquakes requiring evacuation) by offering permanent architectural fixity in the divine sanctuary. The three-fold new-name inscription — God's name, the new Jerusalem, Christ's new name — suggests a total reidentification: the overcomer becomes a bearer of divine identity, civic belonging, and christological relationship simultaneously. The temple-pillar imagery echoes Galatians 2:9 ('pillars' of the Jerusalem church) and Ephesians 2:20–22 (the church as God's dwelling), while 'go no more out' reverses the exile-motif haunting every displaced community in the Roman Empire.

He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out thence no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and mine own new name.
He who is overcoming--I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, and without he may not go any more, and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, that doth come down out of the heaven from my God--also my new name.
Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the house of my God, and he will go out no more: and I will put on him the name of my God, and the name of the town of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my new name.
