Great White Throne

The judgment scene described in Revelation 20:11-15 where the dead stand before God for final accounting. 'Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it... The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.' This judgment is universal — 'great and small' stand before it. It is final — no appeal or second chance. And it is just — based on what people have done. Those not found in the book of life face the second death. The whiteness of the throne symbolizes God's purity and righteousness in judgment. This scene motivates both evangelistic urgency and holy living.
