The statement that God has raised and seated believers with Christ 'that in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus' presents the church's salvation as a permanent exhibit of divine generosity on display to the cosmos across all future ages. The 'ages to come' (aiōnes eperchomonoi) suggests an unending eschatological audience — angelic, human, perhaps cosmic — for whom redeemed humanity is God's greatest demonstration of what grace can do.
