Beriah

This Beriah was a Levite of the family of Gershom during David's reign, noted in 1 Chronicles 23:10–11 as a son of Shimei who had few sons and therefore was counted together with his brother as a single priestly family rather than separate households. The detail about the counting of priestly families reflects David's meticulous organization of the Levites for temple service. His place in the Gershomite genealogy is distinct from several other men named Beriah in the Old Testament.
