Eder

Eder was a Levite of the family of Merari, listed as a son of Mushi in 1 Chronicles 23:23 in the organization of Levitical duties during David's reign. He and his brothers—Mahli and Jerimoth—formed the Mushite branch of the Merarite clan, which was assigned specific duties in the maintenance and transport of the tabernacle. David's meticulous organization of the Levites prepared the worship infrastructure that would serve the temple Solomon built.
