Jacan was a leader from the tribe of Gad during the reign of Jotham, king of Judah.

Jacan was a Gadite leader, a son of Abihail, who is listed among the clan heads of the tribe of Gad who settled in Bashan and Gilead in the Transjordan region (1 Chronicles 5:13). The Gadite genealogy in 1 Chronicles 5:11–22 records the tribe's occupation of the fertile lands east of the Jordan River and their military campaigns against the Hagrites and their allies during the reigns of Saul, David, and Jotham. Jacan belonged to this warrior tribe known for its military prowess.
