The Mishraites were a clan descended from Shobal, who was a descendant of Judah through Caleb.
The Mishraites were one of four clans that sprang from Shobal son of Caleb, a descendant of Judah, and are listed in the genealogy of Caleb's descendants in 1 Chronicles 2:53. The Mishraites, along with the Ithrites, Puthites, and Shumathites, are said to be the clans from which the Zorathites and Eshtaolites descended. The precise geographic or ethnic referent of the Mishraite designation is unknown, and the group appears only in this genealogical notice.
