Tehinnah was the father of Ir-nahash and a descendant of Chelub from the tribe of Judah.
Tehinnah was a descendant of Chelub from the tribe of Judah, the son of Eshton, and is described as the 'father of Ir-nahash' — meaning either the founder or leader of the community known by that name (1 Chronicles 4:12). He is listed alongside his brothers Beth-rapha and Paseah in the Judahite genealogy of the Recah district. Tehinnah appears only in this genealogical record, which connects Judahite clan founders with the communities of the Shephelah region.
