Zenas

New Testament

Zenas, a lawyer, was commended by Paul and was to be sent on his journey with Apollos.

Zenas, described as 'the lawyer' (νομικός), is mentioned in Paul's letter to Titus, where Paul instructs Titus to 'do everything you can to help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way and see that they have everything they need' (Titus 3:13). His designation as a lawyer suggests he was either trained in Roman law or, more likely given his association with a Christian mission, conversant with Jewish legal tradition. He appears to have been the bearer of Paul's letter to Titus, accompanied by Apollos.
