Psalms 72:1
Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.

'Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son' — this royal psalm for Solomon's enthronement models the proper relationship between divine justice (mishpatim) and human kingship: the king rules righteously only insofar as he receives God's own standards of judgment rather than relying on self-generated wisdom. The psalm expands into a messianic vision — universal dominion, perpetual peace, care for the poor — whose scope far exceeds any historical Solomonic fulfillment. Verses 17 ('his name shall endure for ever') and 19's doxology make the psalm a climax to Psalter Book II, and its imagery is drawn upon in Revelation 11:15 and 22:5 for the eternal reign of the Lamb.
