Study Note
'Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.' The Song of Moses and the Lamb (Revelation 15:3-4) blends Exodus 15 with Psalm 86:9 and Jeremiah 10:7 into a universal doxology: all nations will ultimately worship God. The universality ('all nations') stands in tension with the judgments about to be poured out (the seven bowls), suggesting that worship is both the end of justice and the conclusion of history. The title 'King of saints' (or 'King of the nations' in some manuscripts) captures this dual scope: Lord of the redeemed community and of all humanity.
