Omnipotence

God's unlimited power to accomplish anything consistent with his nature. Genesis 18:14 asks, 'Is anything too hard for the Lord?' Jeremiah 32:17 affirms, 'Nothing is too hard for you.' Jesus declared that 'with God all things are possible' (Matthew 19:26). God's omnipotence is displayed in creation (Genesis 1), the Exodus (Exodus 14), the resurrection of Christ (Ephesians 1:19-20), and the sustaining of all things (Hebrews 1:3). Revelation 19:6 proclaims, 'The Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.' While God can do all things, he acts in accord with his holy character and wise purposes.
