Seven Trumpets
The seven trumpet judgments in Revelation 8-11, each more severe than the seals. The first four trumpets bring destruction to the earth, sea, rivers, and sky (8:7-12). The fifth trumpet releases tormenting locusts from the abyss (9:1-11). The sixth trumpet unleashes a vast army (9:13-21). The seventh trumpet announces God's kingdom: 'The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah' (11:15). Trumpets recall the fall of Jericho (Joshua 6), the gathering for worship (Numbers 10:2-10), and the Day of the Lord (Joel 2:1). They serve as warnings calling humanity to repentance before final judgment.
