Baaseiah was a Levite descended from Gershom, the son of Levi.

Baaseiah was a Levite descended from Gershom, the son of Levi, placed in the temple musical lineage recorded in 1 Chronicles 6:40. He appears in the genealogical chain connecting Asaph, the famous temple singer, back to Levi through the Gershomite line.
