Ishi

Ishi was a descendant of Judah through the lineage of Jerahmeel, listed as a son of Appaim and the father of Sheshan in 1 Chronicles 2:31. Sheshan is later noted as having no sons but a daughter whom he gave in marriage to his Egyptian servant Jarha, generating a notable genealogical sub-branch (1 Chronicles 2:34–41). Ishi is thus the grandfather of the woman through whom Sheshan's line continued, making him an important link in a distinctive Judahite family tradition.
