Japhia was one of King David's sons, born to him in Jerusalem.
Japhia was one of the sons born to King David in Jerusalem, listed in 2 Samuel 5:15 and 1 Chronicles 14:6 alongside his many brothers from the royal household. The name Japhia was also borne by the king of Lachish who joined the coalition against Joshua (Joshua 10:3) and by a town on the border of Zebulun (Joshua 19:12), both distinct from this royal son of David. No individual narrative is associated with David's son Japhia beyond his membership in the royal family.
