Jeremai, a descendant of Hashum, was among those who married foreign women during the time of Ezra and agreed to send them away.
Jeremai was a descendant of Hashum who had married a foreign woman during the period of the early restoration and was listed among those who agreed to dissolve these marriages under Ezra's call for covenant renewal (Ezra 10:33). The register in Ezra 10 represents a significant communal act of repentance and boundary-setting in the restored community of Judah, and Jeremai's compliance was formally recorded as part of this public accountability process.
