Joshah

Divided Kingdom Tribe of Simeon · H3144
Old Testament

Joshah was one of the leaders from the tribe of Simeon during the reign of King Hezekiah.

Joshah was a Simeonite prince who participated in the expedition during King Hezekiah's reign that drove the Hamites from the Gedor region in search of pastureland for their flocks (1 Chronicles 4:34). He is listed among the leaders of Simeonite families who led this territorial expansion into the 'valley of Gedor' at a time when Simeon sought new lands for their growing herds. He appears only in this context.
