Maacah

Maacah was the father of Hanan, one of the warriors listed in David's extended roster of mighty men in 1 Chronicles 11:43. Like other figures identified only by their son's name in this warrior catalog, Maacah is otherwise unknown in the biblical record. The name Maacah was common in both male and female forms across Israelite, Aramean, and other Near Eastern contexts and appears to have designated several different individuals in the Old Testament.
