On was a Reubenite who joined Korah in his rebellion against Moses and Aaron.
On son of Peleth was a Reubenite who is listed at the opening of the Korah rebellion narrative as one of the conspirators alongside Korah, Dathan, and Abiram (Numbers 16:1). Significantly, he does not appear again in the account of the rebellion, its consequences, or the subsequent addresses—his disappearance from the narrative has led commentators to speculate that he withdrew from the conspiracy before the catastrophic judgment fell. He appears only in this single verse.
