Shiphtan was the father of Kemuel, a leader from the tribe of Ephraim appointed to help divide the Promised Land.
Shiphtan was an Ephraimite whose son Kemuel was appointed to assist in dividing the land of Canaan among the tribes of Israel (Numbers 34:24). His name appears only through this genealogical connection to his son's administrative role in the land distribution.
