Epaphroditus

> · G1891

Epaphroditus was a beloved brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier who ministered to Paul's needs on behalf of the Philippians.

Epaphroditus was a trusted co-worker and messenger from the church at Philippi who carried the congregation's financial gift to Paul during his imprisonment and remained to assist him (Philippians 2:25; 4:18). He became gravely ill while serving Paul—'near death for the work of Christ'—and his recovery was a source of great relief and joy to both Paul and the Philippian church. Paul commends him as a 'brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier,' and sends him back to Philippi with the letter, urging the congregation to honor such men.
