Malchus, the high priest's servant, had his ear cut off by Peter during Jesus' arrest.

Malchus was the servant of the high priest Caiaphas whose right ear was cut off by Simon Peter when Jesus was arrested in Gethsemane (John 18:10–11). Only the Gospel of John identifies both the servant's name and Peter as the one who struck him. Luke 22:51 records that Jesus touched the servant's ear and healed him, the last healing miracle recorded in the Synoptic Gospels. Malchus's appearance at the moment of Jesus' arrest makes him a minor but memorable figure in the Passion narrative.
