Old Testament

Mishmannah, a Gadite, was one of the warriors who joined David at Ziklag when he was fleeing from Saul.

Mishmannah was a Gadite warrior who crossed the Jordan to join David at his stronghold during his flight from Saul, described as a man 'whose faces were like the faces of lions' (1 Chronicles 12:8–10). He is listed fourth among the Gadite commanders who became officers in David's band, indicating significant military status. The Gadites who joined David at this time were elite soldiers whose crossing demonstrated that God's favor was shifting definitively toward the future king.
