Tubal

Tubal was a son of Japheth and grandson of Noah, listed in the Table of Nations alongside his brothers including Gomer, Magog, Javan, Meshech, and Tiras (Genesis 10:2; 1 Chronicles 1:5). In Ezekiel's oracles against Tyre and Gog, 'Tubal and Meshech' appear together as trading partners supplying slaves and bronze vessels (Ezekiel 27:13) and as part of the northern coalition associated with Gog (Ezekiel 38:2–3; 39:1). These peoples are generally identified with groups in central Anatolia mentioned in Assyrian and other Near Eastern records.
