ابن ياشن

The son of Jashen is unnamed in 2 Samuel 23:32 but is listed as one of David's thirty mighty men in the elite catalogue of warriors who supported the Davidic kingdom. The Chronicler's parallel list in 1 Chronicles 11:34 reads 'sons of Hashem the Gizonite,' suggesting multiple members of the family may have served in this capacity or that the text has suffered in transmission. He is known only from this brief reference in the roster of David's champions.
