Mercy Ministry

Acts of compassion that address the physical and emotional needs of suffering people, reflecting God's own merciful character. Micah 6:8 requires believers to 'love mercy.' Jesus healed the sick, fed the hungry, and comforted the grieving — modeling mercy ministry as integral to kingdom work. The parable of the good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) defines neighbor love through merciful action. Matthew 25:35-40 identifies feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, clothing the naked, and visiting the sick and imprisoned as serving Christ himself. James 2:13 declares, 'Mercy triumphs over judgment.' Acts 9:36 celebrates Dorcas, who 'was always doing good and helping the poor.'
