Scroll
The ancient form of written documents, carrying profound significance in biblical visions. Ezekiel was commanded to eat a scroll inscribed with 'words of lament and mourning and woe' (Ezekiel 2:9-3:3). Jeremiah's scroll was burned by King Jehoiakim but rewritten by divine command (Jeremiah 36). Revelation 5 centers on a sealed scroll that only the Lamb is worthy to open, revealing God's plan for history. Zechariah 5:1-4 saw a flying scroll of judgment. Isaiah 34:4 envisions the sky rolling up 'like a scroll.' The scroll represents God's authoritative word and sovereign plan — written, sealed, and revealed according to his perfect timing.
