Cantar de los Cantares
The regulations governing Israel's worship, sacrifices, purity, and religious observances. These laws, found primarily in Leviticus and parts of Exodus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, include rules about clean and unclean animals (Leviticus 11), purification rituals (Leviticus 12-15), sacrificial procedures (Leviticus 1-7), and priestly conduct (Leviticus 21-22). The New Testament teaches that these laws were 'a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ' (Colossians 2:17). Hebrews explains extensively how Christ's sacrifice supersedes the entire ceremonial system (Hebrews 7-10). The Jerusalem Council freed Gentile believers from ceremonial requirements (Acts 15).
