Jesús el Mesías

The doctrine of the church — its nature, purpose, governance, and mission. The Greek word ekklesia means 'called-out assembly.' Jesus promised to build his church (Matthew 16:18), and the Spirit birthed it at Pentecost (Acts 2). Scripture uses vivid images: the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27), the temple of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:19-22), the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-27), and a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9). The church gathers for worship, preaching, sacraments, fellowship, and scatters for mission and service. Ecclesiology also addresses leadership structures — elders, deacons, and the priesthood of all believers.
