Reyes de Judá

Workers on the Sea of Galilee whom Jesus called to become 'fishers of people' (Matthew 4:19). Peter, Andrew, James, and John were commercial fishermen before becoming apostles (Mark 1:16-20). Their fishing background provided rich imagery: the miraculous catches (Luke 5:1-11, John 21:1-14), the parable of the net (Matthew 13:47-50), and the coin in the fish's mouth (Matthew 17:27). Jesus chose ordinary working people to build his church, demonstrating that God's power works through human weakness (1 Corinthians 1:27). The fishing metaphor continues to inspire Christian evangelism and mission worldwide.
