God's concern for fairness, equity, and the protection of the vulnerable in society. Micah 6:8 summarizes God's requirements: 'Act justly and love mercy and walk humbly with your God.' Isaiah 1:17 commands, 'Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.' Proverbs 31:8-9 urges, 'Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves... defend the rights of the poor and needy.' Amos 5:24 envisions, 'Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!' God's people are called to be agents of his justice in a broken world.
