Ezekiel 37:25

'They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children's children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever' — the Valley of Dry Bones vision (Ezekiel 37:1–14) and the Two Sticks oracle (37:15–28) converge in this promise of restored Davidic monarchy over a reunited Israel. The re-emergence of 'David my servant' as 'prince forever' (nasi olam) is explicitly eschatological: it cannot refer to the historical David but to a future Davidic figure, whom Christian interpretation identifies with Christ (see also Ezekiel 34:23–24). The threefold generational promise — 'they and their children and their children's children' — emphasizes the enduring permanence of restoration, reversing the exile's rupture of generational continuity. The covenant of peace (berith shalom, verse 26) and YHWH's sanctuary among them (verse 27) echo Leviticus 26:11–12 and anticipate Revelation 21:3's final fulfillment.
