Ezekiel 37:28
And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Study Note
'And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore' — the conclusion of the two-sticks oracle of national reunion extends the covenant formula ('I will be their God, they shall be my people') to include Gentile recognition as the ultimate telos of Israel's restoration. The 'sanctuary in the midst' echoes the tabernacle-presence promise of Exodus 25:8 and Leviticus 26:11, but the 'for evermore' transcends anything achievable within the old covenant order, pointing toward the eschatological temple-vision of Ezekiel 40–48 and its New Testament fulfillment in Revelation 21:3 ('the tabernacle of God is with men').
