Word of God
Scripture as divine revelation, the means through which God communicates his truth and will to humanity. Second Timothy 3:16-17 declares, 'All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.' Hebrews 4:12 describes it as 'alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword.' Psalm 119:105 testifies, 'Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.' Isaiah 40:8 promises, 'The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.' Jesus is himself called 'the Word' (John 1:1-14). The Bible is not merely a human book about God but God's own communication to his creatures, reliable and transformative.
