Steadfast reliability and loyalty, both as a divine attribute and a human virtue. Lamentations 3:22-23 declares, 'Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.' Faithfulness is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Jesus praised faithful servants in his parables (Matthew 25:21, Luke 16:10). Proverbs 20:6 asks, 'Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?' Revelation 2:10 calls believers to be 'faithful, even to the point of death.' God's faithfulness provides the model and motivation for human faithfulness.
