Name Above All Names
The supreme exaltation of Jesus Christ to the highest position of authority. Philippians 2:9-11 declares, 'God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.' Acts 4:12 affirms, 'There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.' Ephesians 1:20-21 places Christ 'far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked.' Revelation 19:16 identifies him as 'King of kings and Lord of lords.' The name of Jesus carries ultimate authority in the universe.
