Achaicus, along with Stephanas and Fortunatus, visited Paul from Corinth.
Achaicus was a Christian from Corinth who, together with Stephanas and Fortunatus, visited the apostle Paul during his ministry, probably in Ephesus, bringing news and perhaps gifts from the Corinthian congregation (1 Corinthians 16:17–18). Paul warmly commended all three men, saying they 'refreshed my spirit and yours,' and urged the Corinthians to honor such people. His name, meaning 'belonging to Achaia,' may indicate he was a native of the province or a freedman with ties to it. Achaicus represents the network of traveling co-workers who supported Paul's missionary correspondence and ministry.
