Old Testament

Evi was one of the Midianite kings killed by the Israelites during the time of Moses.

Evi was one of five kings of Midian slain by the Israelites during the campaign commanded by Moses in Numbers 31:8, alongside Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba. These Midianite kings had allied themselves with Balaam's strategy to corrupt Israel through idolatry and sexual immorality at Peor (Numbers 25; 31:16). Their defeat marked the decisive end of the Midianite threat to Israel before Moses' death and the entry into Canaan.
