Galal, a Levite musician and descendant of Asaph, lived in Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile.
Galal was a Levite who returned from Babylonian exile and settled in the villages around Jerusalem, recorded in 1 Chronicles 9:15 and Nehemiah 11:17. He was a descendant of Jeduthun, one of David's three master musicians, and his family's post-exilic resettlement continued the Levitical musical tradition in and around Jerusalem. His genealogical connection to Jeduthun places him in the distinguished lineage of the temple's musical heritage.
