Neziah was the ancestor of a family of temple servants who returned from the Babylonian exile.

Neziah was the ancestor of a family of temple servants whose descendants returned to Jerusalem from the Babylonian exile under Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:54; Nehemiah 7:56). Temple servants performed support roles in the Jerusalem sanctuary and are listed alongside the servants of Solomon as a recognized class within the post-exilic restoration community. Neziah appears only as an ancestral name in these returning-exile registers.
