Pagiel, son of Ochran, was the leader of the tribe of Asher during the wilderness wanderings.
Pagiel son of Ochran served as the appointed prince of the tribe of Asher during the wilderness period, enrolling 41,500 men from Asher for military service in the first census (Numbers 1:13; 2:27). He presented Asher's tribal offering at the dedication of the tabernacle on the eleventh day (Numbers 7:72–77) and led the Asherite contingent during the march from Sinai to Canaan (Numbers 10:26). Pagiel represents the organized tribal leadership structure of the wilderness generation.
