Roma 5:2
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Study Note
The believer's access (prosagōgēn) to grace and rejoicing in 'hope of the glory of God' builds on the justification declared in Romans 5:1 and introduces the theme of eschatological hope that pervades Romans 5–8. The term 'prosagōgē' (access, introduction) has a cultic connotation — the right of approach to a divine presence normally barred to sinners — now granted through the mediation of Jesus Christ. The 'hope of the glory of God' anticipates Romans 8:18–25's vision of creation's liberation and the believer's final glorification (8:30), linking justification to a comprehensive eschatological narrative. Paul's boasting in hope (kauchōmetha) reflects the paradox of already-not-yet: access is present, glory is future, yet both are ground for present exultation.
