The Branch of David is given the name 'THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS' (Yahweh Tsidkenu) — the only place in the Old Testament where a human figure receives a divine name containing the Tetragrammaton as a proper noun. The theological implications are enormous: the coming king will not merely be righteous but will be the embodiment of God's own righteousness for the people.
