Jaddai was among the Israelites who agreed to put away their foreign wives during Ezra's reforms.

Jaddai was one of the Israelites who had married a foreign woman during the restoration period and agreed to dissolve the marriage under Ezra's call for covenant renewal (Ezra 10:43). He is listed among the descendants of Nebo who complied with the reform decree. The registers of Ezra 10 represent a formal legal and religious record of the community's public reckoning with the issue of intermarriage in the context of post-exilic identity formation.
