ジェリヤハ

Jerijah was a Levite leader from the family of Hebron who served during the reign of King David. In 1 Chronicles 26:31 he is identified as the chief among the Hebronites, with 2,700 capable men under him who were appointed by David in his fortieth year over the Reubenites, Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh for matters pertaining to God and the king. His administrative role across the Transjordanian tribes illustrates the important function Levites played not only in worship but in civil governance within the Davidic kingdom.
