Pyrrhus was a Berean who accompanied Paul on his journey to Asia.
Pyrrhus was the father of Sopater, one of Paul's traveling companions who accompanied the apostle on his final journey to Jerusalem carrying the collection from the Gentile churches (Acts 20:4). His Macedonian origin—Beroea—reflects the strong Pauline church established there (Acts 17:10–12). Pyrrhus is known only through this paternal reference to his son.
