Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai, leader of the tribe of Simeon during the wilderness wanderings.
Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai was the appointed leader of the tribe of Simeon during the wilderness period, serving in the census taken by Moses (Numbers 1:6; 2:12) and presenting the offering for his tribe's dedication of the altar (Numbers 7:36–41). He represented the Simeonite contingent in the organized structure of the Israelite camp.
